About:
Valley Vision Ranch, is a family owned multi-faceted ranch that focuses on serving people with what we've been given.  We believe that local, sustainable farming and agriculture is a must for the future of our world and our health, and we believe we have been called to be part of the solution of healing our land and healing our bodies!  We have many different aspects to what we do.  Chad focuses on horsemanship training and using his horses to manage our land and animals.  Crystal serves people from her kitchen, making and selling hard to find raw products, both cow and goat, and enjoys teaching about the difference of eating raw, living, and organic foods.  We are in essence students ourselves and love to learn how to make what we do better, and how to better steward what has been given to us. With 3 young children of our own, this is imperative and its personal. We invite you to join us on our journey!
...........................
Our story:
In 2009, way before we moved to the ranch we own today, a city friend from Texas told us we reminded her of the farmer featured in the documentary "Food Inc." We had not seen the film and so we smiled unknowingly at each other. A year later we came across the film on Netflix...and that was the beginning. Or maybe we should say that was the end. It was the end of eating at McDonalds'. It was the end of our "free range" chickens being held in a chicken lot. It was the end to traditional farming methods...and it was the beginning of hope for us with our dream of sustainable living. Now it is an honor to be compared to the great Joel Salatin, the featured farmer in the documentary. What he has done for the rest of us paved the way. He showed us healthy, sustainable farming can and should be done! Our cows are fed 100% grass on ecologically friendly maintained pastures...no pesticides and herbicides are sprayed. They are given free choice natural mineral and kelp, and are not given antibiotics nor hormones. Our layer chickens are rotated in our egg-mobile every few days to new fresh grass. Our pastured poultry when raising our broilers, are moved twice a day to fresh grass to raise some of the healthiest chicken meat available. Our milk is never pasteurized and our dairy animals are turned out to fresh grass except while being milked in the stantion. Please enjoy reading more about who we are and what we are about, but even better come and visit the ranch!

Grassfed Beef

Grassfed Beef

At Valley Vision Ranch, we are committed to the highest quality grass-fed beef.  Our calves are born and raised on our ranch to ensure the quality of the entire process. We are able to guarantee they are happy and are treated lovingly, humanely and stress-free from their beginning to the end.  They are raised on their mama's until about 8 months old ( a little longer than typical for extra nutrients), and they have free choice to a high quality kelp and Redmond's natural mineral.  We de-worm our animals naturally using diatomaceous earth four times a year.  We never use hormones, antibiotics, commercial de-wormer, or steroids so you can ensure you and your children are safe from undue harm eating our meat.  Our grasses are never sprayed with pesticides, herbicides, or commercial fertilizers.  We use an intensive grazing method and utilize our chicken herd to help the natural process.

When our beef is ready to be processed, you may purchase a whole, half, or quarter of that beef.  You may also choose how you would like it processed.  Without any extra charge, your options include T-bone, Porterhouse, Filet steaks your choice of thickness, Roasts of any size, Ribs, Brisket, 1 or 2 pound packages of ground beef depending on your family size, and the option of jerky or amazing summer sausage with or without jalapenos! (If you have any special requests please just ask).

If you've never purchased your beef in this fashion before, there are several advantages to the consumer.  Here are a few:

1) You KNOW what you're eating and serving your loved ones!  You can feel good about cooking healthy food for your family!

2) The TASTE Difference:  We hear feedback all the time that fresh beef is NO comparison to the store's.  Once you accustom yourself to how beef is supposed to taste, you will have a difficult time buying anything else.

3)  Financial perk:  As beef prices rise in the store, our prices can remain the same.  For a cheaper per-pound rate, you can have excellent, healthy beef ALL YEAR LONG!

4) Convenience:  It's a great feeling knowing you can go to your freezer instead of run to the store when it's time to prepare for dinner!

Horsemanship

Horsemanship

Job 38:1, Job 39:19-24 "Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said... Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder? Can you frighten him like a locust? His majestic snorting strikes terror. He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He gallops into the clash of arms. He mocks at fear, and is not frightened; Nor does he turn back from the sword. The quiver rattles against him, The glittering spear and javelin. He devours the distance with fierceness and rage; Nor does he come to a halt because the trumpet has sounded."

"Horsemanship is the art of mastering our own movements, thoughts, emotions and behavior" ~Ray Hunt

"You've got to give something you never gave to get something you never had" ~Ray Hunt

Training and working with horses is like learning to overcome life's obstacles.  How we address and confront issues in life such as fear, control, impatience and misunderstanding, directly correlate with how we interact with our horse and sometimes this interaction needs some help, or even a "re-start."  Using methods heavily influenced by the vaquero-style cowboy tradition, we take horses on a month-by-month basis. In an effort to build and create a new language built on trust, we look to establish a healthy working relationship between the horse and owner.  We encourage the owner to come and watch training sessions, learn about this new relationship so that they can be as much a part of the effort towards change as the horse himself.

Living Food

Living Food

"Let food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food" ~Hippocrates

"Disease begins in the gut" ~Hippocrates

"The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition." ~Thomas Edison

"If you don't take care of your body, where are you going to live?" ~Anonymous

One of the most controversial subjects in America today is over the food you eat!  Just start asking people questions, googling health foods, or inquiring about raw dairy products and you will see the myriad of opinions and much fear surrounding the subject.  The food you eat is so heavily regulated that in some states it is even illegal for you to buy fresh meat or raw dairy unless you own, or own in part, the animal.  Too bad for city folks in those areas!  Here at Valley Vision Ranch, we believe eating raw, living foods is better. Better for you and our environment.  In some circles, this type of food is referred to as "Real Food," implying that anything else we eat is... not real food.
